About Graphic Designer Podcast
The Graphic Designer Podcast is the brainchild of designers Dan Nisbet and Jessica Rosengard. We aim to take a fun approach to topics ranging from working with clients, keeping your freelance business in running order, and interviews with some colleagues in our industry.
Somewhere in life, Jessica was able to strike a perfect balance between hard work and hilarity. There’s a time for amusement, but Jessica knows how to dig in and get things done; she never backs down from a challenge and loves tackling all types of projects.
Jessica received a BFA in Graphic Design from Columbia College Chicago, with a focus on a variety of design mediums, including web. Her keen eye for design and unique creative approach to projects, are based on the unique needs of each client. Select recent clients include Sears, Kmart, Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation, Northwestern Medicine, and Crafthouse Cocktails.
In addition to her private design work, Jessica spent 10 years working for specialty promotion firms as an Art Directly, consultant and account manager, with big-name clients such as Diageo, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, McGrawHill, Pearson Education, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, MTV, and The Weather Channel.
Since Dan was young, art and design was something that constantly intrigued him. That passion carried him through school at Minnesota State University Moorhead with a double-major in graphic design. Of course, he could leave well-enough alone, and used his senior final project to design NOS Energy Drink’s NASCAR Nationwide Series sponsorship campaign through 2010. In the time since, he has fulfilled his dream to make a living as a graphic designer expanding his horizons from motorsport design to include print and web design.
When he isn’t busy being a graphic designer, you’ll probably find Dan training for a marathon or closely following baseball when it’s warm outside.
